  Four years after their final gig, the original line-up of top tribute band The Beautiful Couch made, what was intended to be, a one-off performance at Tribfest 2011. After a fantastic response to the Tribfest set, and an overwhelming number of enquiries about the possibility of another show, the band will be taking to the stage at Hull City Hall on Saturday 5th May 2012 for ONE NIGHT ONLY to play tribute to Hull's two most famous musical exports; The Beautiful South and The Housemartins.

    Between 2002 and 2007 The Beautiful Couch became established as one of the UK's top tribute bands, playing to thousands of people at venues all over the country. Gigs of note for the band during this time include; two sold-out appearances at Liverpool's world famous Cavern Club, as well as an equal number of appearances at the city's Matthew Street Festival. An appearance at Humberfest supporting Deacon Blue and The Commitments; numerous appearances on the pitch at the KC Stadium in Hull entertaining the crowds at Football and Rugby games; performing at the Hull City 'Player of the Year 2007' awards evening; headlining the Tribfest Taster concert at Hull City Hall in January 2007 and appearing at the first ever Tribfest in Driffield that same year.
